pulldowns and triceps

I would like to know why my triceps take a bitting when I do pull downs considering pull downs are not intended to target triceps, what am I doing wrong? thanks.
 
Beats me man. Can you post a video?

Triceps are a 'push' muscle group. They won't be involved with doing pulling movements. Pull downs train your lats, rhomboids, traps and biceps.

your form is poor and you are doing too much weight is why

most people that do pull downs i SMH

pulldowns should work your back #1. and to work your back FORM is so important. most meathead idiots use their shoulders 95% and that's why their backs are pathetically weak

stop with the ego and engage your back only when you do pulldowns.. pretend there is a penny in the middle of your back and you are trying to squeeze that penny
 
Remember that when the bar is going back up that there will be tension on the triceps. Besides that, just ensure your form is proper.
