Plyometrics only

It is certainly better than no training at all by a long shot, but I would personally add in isometric exercises, and any body weight resistance training that you can as well.
 
Depends on what your overall goals are but in general you can get results (whatever that means) with doing it.

Is it optimal to stick just one way of training?
No.
 
Look to vary your workouts, its best to keep your body guessing with different kinds of workouts for maximal gains.
