plyo's and explosive lifts on soft surface

thriller

New member
do you guys think its a good idea to do plyo's and explosive lifts (ex. jump shrugs, jumping deadlifts anything with impact) on a soft surface? would this be easier on the knees?

or is there even a reason to use such a surface for say a jumping deadlift since i dont get very high off the ground?

Training on such a surface will be good for developing the CNS and balance, which will translate to other sports. And to answer your question, yes this will be easier on your knees.

o, thats good then so there is other benefits!
awesome, thanks

Ofcourse! Anytime you train on an unstable surface you utilize a lot of stabilising muscles and stress the CNS. This will pay huge dividents in sports where coordination, balance and agility are valued. Come to think of it, that's most sports. Enjoy.:)

I friend did depth jumps and plyos for 10 weeks on grass and got good gains of 5 inches on his vert. 31 to 36inches
