Need help with Lats

Goldprospector

New member
My routine currently consists of Lat pulls, seated cable rows(elbows close), and dumbell rows.

I have tried barbell rows at other times, and it always seems that my arms fail before I can get a burn in any part of my Lats. They don't even get a little sore.

Is there any lifts that target the lats more than these? What could I possibly do to eliminate the bicep on this muscle?

I recommend the following:

Erectors

- deadlifts
- stiff leg deadlifts
- good mornings
- hyperextensions
- reverse hypers

Lats (Thickness)

- barbell rows
- t-bar rows
- dumbbell rows
- supported t-bar rows
- bench rows

Lats (width)

- chins
- reverse grip pull-downs
- wide grip pull-downs
- seated cable rows
- machine pullovers
- dumbbell pull-overs

traps

- barbell shrugs
- dumbbell shrugs
- up right rows
- farmers walk

I would guess you are not doing the barbell rows correctly. If you learn them you will benefit from their production.

You should`nt really be pulling with your biceps as opposed to squeezing your back. That`s why I think your bis are fatiguing early. Good luck.

GO to the gym and do 10 sets of pull ups. It will teach the meaning of lat strength. It taught me and i have since remembered to keep them strong. :)
