For all of the RSIV's.....How necessary is behind the neck lat pulls to building a complete back??

(Recovering Shoulder Injury Victims)

they are not essential IMO. i believe all you need for back is;

deads
chins
bent over rows

any of you guys train back width one day and thickness the other? I did deads, dbell rows, seated rows on Sunday and tomorrow, I was thinking oif hitting some width...just curious how you would pair them...maybe yates rows, chins, lat pulldowns and pullovers?

werd.

t-bar rows are good, but personally, i haven't found a need for them

anything behind the neck is a very bad idea, the rotator cuff isnt designed to bear much weight in that position

yes, i've both heard this before, and from experience, i've hurt myself on behind the neck pull downs, even though the weight was fairly light (50-55kilos) and the ROM was pretty strict
