M mordy New member Aug 12, 2004 #13 yeah, a .22 is ideal to start. I would then definitly teach them both revolver, and semi-auto. A big ol .38 and a full size 9mm will do the trick. The suggestions so far are great. I don't see the need for a 45 really, i mean, how dead do you want your targets to be?
