mixing gymnastics with weight training?

Would doing some gymnastics help me improve my weight training or should I stick with just weight training? my goals are not strength but I want to simply look good and build a strong core. would be nice to be more ripped and have an 8 pack like some of you guys on here. what do you guys and gals think?
 
Gymnastics is certainly not going to be a bad choice to add in.
 
No reason not to especially since your goals are not to be huge and strong. If you just want to look good then gymnastics with weight lifting would be a great combo.
