I remember reading somewhere that said it's not ideal to do anything less than a 3rep max while dieting for whatever reason. Is there any truth to this?
I would think that maxing out (more so singles above 90%) while dieting would be the quickest way to gain strength while on a diet. maybe you overtrain more easily than if you had excess calories, but just take more back off periods? Any thoughts?
