Recently purchased a copy of "Combat Conditioning"...
While I agree with a lot of Furey's reasons for doing some of the specific exercises, he seems to make a lot of claims against weighted resistance training. I find it very hard to accept that squats, deadlifts, pullups, bench press, etc, would be anything BUT benificial to a martial artist.
Hindu squats, hindu pushups, and bridges all seems like excellent bodyweight-type exercises, but not the end-all-be-all of conditioning for a martial artist.
Opinions? Experiences?
