I found three lifting hooks on the web and need to hear from anyone with experience with them.

these are the most expensive and lift a ton. I don't thnk I'll be lifting a ton though
http://www.precisiontraining.com/hooks.cfm

heres a cheaper versionof them
http://store.yahoo.com/sportsunlimited/powerclawhooks.html

I'll probably get these becaue of price also the hooks look wider (would help stablize single dumbell movements)

unless I am influenced otherwise
thanks in advance Ed

just grab 315 and hold it for like, a day... that what b fold does :)

was that aimed at me?
cause i'm thinking hooks would be more dentrimental than straps for grip strength.... :worried:

I think hooks are a great thing. If your like most people your grip on heavy deadlifts for reps gives out first. At least if your deadlifting 400+ for reps.
I use the hooks, just red ox brand.
They were like 40.00 they work fine.
I wouldnt sacrifice posterior chain devlopment for grip. So i definetly use them.
Just train grip seperate with COC's.

what kind of grip do you use on your deadlift? i use an alternating grip. i just recently got 515 off the ground, and had no problems with grip. i did rack deads a week ago with 600, and still had no problems with grip (and i could have done more.) but when i use a overhand grip with both hands, i start to run into problems. i use this grip for SLDL, and have to use straps with i use 315 for more than 5 reps.

d - i wasnt talkin to u, i didnt know uhad grip trouble. i just meant i wouldnt waste 40 bucks on something for my grip when i, or u, or anyone can get a strong grip for free. i guess there ok, if u cant hold more then i can dead.
