Lifting or cardio?

you can go to the gym all day if you want and it won't make a lick of difference

did you know today Americans workout more than any other country? we also workout way more than our skinny ancestors did 10000 years ago. our ancestors mostly sat around being lazy, today we kill ourselves working out and it hasn't made a lick of difference

the truth is diet is 90% of the battle. even when i was running 45 miles a week and 6% body fat i was eating clean. that is the key
 
losing weight? hum...

without diet... neither... cardio or lifting.

with diet cardio will help you to lose weight fast... but... however to lose weight is not the same as to lose fat.

without lifting you will lose a lot of more muscle mass, so you are going to lose weight and look soft.

so...
right routine is: diet, lifting and cardio
 
If you had to pick just one - lifting weights because it increases the metabolism.

However, the most important aspect of weight loss is diet. You can't out train a bad diet
