Leg work after hip joint replacement

I know this is too late for the original poster, but for future readers, Ricky Dale Crain also had the THA and is kicking out weights near his old competitive maxes. May want to pick his brain as well. I work w/ patients that have had the hip or knee replacement and those that were more active to begin with will always do better, as they tend to follow through more with their therapy and doing more weight bearing exercise.

I see this is an old thread but I am having hip replacement on Tuesdsy Mar 4 2014
I was wondering how squating work outs went

I have physical hip issues and squat narrow just to 90 degrees and mostly stay in the 8-12 rep range and my squat has gone up substantially and as a great side effect have seen excellent quad growth. Narrow stance front squats are good too but feel its less legs and more core.
