Leg warm up

What warm-up do you do before a leg workout ?
 
just do some plain squats with no or little weight

and whatever other stuff you do make the forst set very light

works best

It is what I did until some guys told me NOT to walk/run/cycle before squat though they had no clear explanation for it (just the "no stretching before weight training")

I worked with a physical therapist during my shoulder rehab and he told me that one of the best ways to warmup before any workout was walking 10-12 minutes on the treadmill. It's working for me, so I'm sticking with it. :)
 
walk @ 4mph for 10 mins

stretch hips, glutes & hams

do general fullbody warmup with the bar (OHP, bent row, stiff leg etc) 10 mins

squat

bar x 20
135 x 10
225 x 5
315 x 3
405 x 1

worksets

If you've not got time to warmup, you've not got time to train IMO.
 
I do 10-15 minutes on the eliptical trainer...then stretch out.

Squats first....
135x10
175x8
225x6
315x5x5

Leg Press
540x10
630x10x3

Hack Sled
180x10
270x8x2

SLDL's and Hammie Curl then
Leg Extensions to wrap things up....

Calves are on shoulder day.
