    Isolated lifts

    Having isolated lifts like single leg work instead of working both at the same time. Is it beneficial to focus on one at a time for improving muscle growth?

    While it works compounds with both limbs are better for the overall affect

    when i train my calves i will do both yes.

    i do standing calf raises 1 leg at a time.

    It's best to do both compound and unilateral movements. Unilateral movements prevent one side from over developing because you prioritize each side individually.

    We all have dominant sides and unilateral movements help work out those imbalances.

    I saw no. Not because of the science but because an undue focus on the small stuff suggests your not balls out on the big stuff.

    Yeah its always good to have variety as it can develop certain muscles differently.
