Excerpt: so i had an embarssing gaffe the other day. i invited a chick over to make dinner together and was gonna make her my world famous spaghetti, so like a dumbass i go to open the jar of sauce and i cannot open the damn thing. she is starting at me like i am the biggest weakling ever and it totally killed the mood for the night. how can i improve grip strength at the gym?

    deadlifts raw will improve hand strength like nothing else.

    Make sure you are lifting raw. No gloves, wraps, straps, etc.

    This is correct. Pick up heavy weight with your bare hands. Rinse and repeat

    Lift weights without using straps, gloves, etc.

    I have a better idea...tap the side of the jar lid on the counter top to break the seal and it will be easy to open. That would be the smart person thing to do.
