Interesting, but really, how effective would it be in a trained athlete that does a core strengthening routine 3x a week, if not more?

I could see it being very advantageous to a sedentary person who sits all day, though.
 
dude , I think that youre looking at it from the wroing direction .

Lets just ask , over time , if all the hours you spent sitting on your ass added up to a mild workout ? Over a couple of Months it would SO add up !
 
Or if you're super dedicated you freeze in mid squat position on one leg and try to do your work from there. You'll have one nasty core in a few months time, LOL.
