do you still train the upper body?

my ankle is the size of a single pamela anderson boob(when she had breast implants) maybe even bigger

i wanna stay in shape for basketball and the only thing i figured i could do is lift weights, do upper body...

is that bad for recovery or what? i am also gonna be taking some vicodein i guess
 
if your able to support you own body weight you can try body weight squats, and you could also do upper body. Just baby your ankle so it will heal.
