HST Vs Bill Starr's Madcow 5x5 For...

Welcome to the EliteFitness.com Bodybuilding Site! Please join this discussion about HST Vs Bill Starr's Madcow 5x5 For... within the Weight Training & Weight Lifting category.

Excerpt: For a good balance between size/strength but moreso pushing towards size, what would you say would be the better routine? I realise there's a lot of factors to think of such as how the individual responds to a certain type of training etc, but if you HAD to pick one of the 2 which would you pick, and if possible explain why. I'm interested to hear people's opinions on this: HST - http://www.hypertrophy-specific.com/hst_index.html Bill Starr's Madcow 5x5 -

ceo, here's the equipment I have access to at home:

Power Rack (with pullup attachment), Inc/Flat/Dec Bench, Olympic Barbell, Olympic EZ Bar, Olympic Dumbbells, Olympic Weights, Preacher Curl Attachment, Lex Extension Attachment.

Is that enough to do DC? I was a member of a gym for around 4 years but I just stopped going & bought a home gym instead because it saves travel etc & I also prefer working out alone, less distractions.

The downside of being better than everyone else, is that people tend to assume you're pretentious.

you need a gym with plenty of equipment to do DC, because once you stall out on an exercise, you have to switch to a different one until you can't progress on that one, then switch again, and so on.

    So, no. Sorry.
