hips

I did some lower ab work sometime last week, which I usually don't do. A few days later, I did Romanian deadlifts for the first time. Felt really good. But, ever since, my hips have been hurting. I guess I have really weak hips. Just to be sure, by my hips I mean the part of me along the crease of my pelvis in front. I haven't been able to do any sprint work or squats...just waiting for my lower half and especially my hips to stop hurting.

What's a good way to bring up my hip strength without killing them and waiting forever for it to heal?

You could actually use those little fuzzy ankle attachments that you see women using on the cable attachments. They actually do work and a lot of powerlifters do use them...to strengthen their hips and hip flexors.

You need to be stretching a lot, resting it, and using ibuprofen...IMO.

If you are going to do band work for hip flexors, for example seated band work, make sure your hipcrease is BELOW your knees.

Sled dragging and band resistance kicks/lifts and are great for hip flexors.
