Are hack squats important?

Excerpt: I started a routine that indicated I need to do hack squats. I dont have the stuff to perform them. Is it important ? Should I replace it with front squats?

    Are hack squats important?

    I started a routine that indicated I need to do hack squats. I dont have the stuff to perform them. Is it important ? Should I replace it with front squats?

    Your gym doesn't have a hack squat? or you train @ home?

    I don't think you should ever replace squats if you can perform them properly.
    If you don't have the regular hack squat machine just do squats. They are just as effective if not even more effective.

    Personally I do both squats (back/front) and hack squats. One of the best movements for quad size and strength.

    hack squats are not important at all. in fact not 1 exercise is important

    the best type of squat is the box/sit squat because it forces you to engage the glutes and leg muscles with correct form.

    also lunges are excellent

    No routine is fixed in stone.

    There is no magic exercise. There are lots of replacements to hack squats. Regular squats, front squats, smith machine squats etc
