gripping deadlift

Welcome to the EliteFitness.com Bodybuilding Site! Please join this discussion about gripping deadlift within the Weight Training & Weight Lifting category.

Excerpt: My grip stinks when it comes to deadlifting and I always lose it on the way up. I have tried using towels to dry my hands and chalk is not allowed in my gym. I think I just have smallish hands and maybe weak wrists. Someone said to try farmerís walks but not sure if that would help or hurt. Another guy suggested to use wraps but isnít that cheating?

    Re: gripping deadlift

Hang from a pull up bar for as long as possible. Keep doing it over and over and the amount of time you can hang will increase. This in turn will make your grip stronger.
