One of my fellow mods at has swayed me to the powerlifting side of things for now, so i am giving it a shot. Today was my first day ever squatting off a box. I have to say, everyone can gain something from these, my hips and glutes and hams got worked, but mostly my hips. I warmed up with 45-225 for numerous sets with tons of stretching than did this off a parallel box
275 2 sets of 3
315 4 sets of 3
going to move the box down in a few weeks but want to get some strenght and flexibility at this height first
finished up with
romanian deadlifts
225x5
315x5
365x4
405x3 kept a tight arch on these, which is what i doing them for
pullthroughs 3 sets with the stack with varying stances and reps
calves 3 sets
grip work 3 sets.
