I'm generally new to weight training but I did used to do some lifting when I was in high school taking the class. I am a female and I am 28 years old
I'm interested in getting on a workout program and wanted some advice as to what you recommended. Should I sign up for a gym or should I buy weights for my house
 
you should do yoga and light weights at home no need to goto the gym yet
 
Whatever option you go with, I recommend starting with a 5x5 program. That will help you lean the proper form of the compound exercises first.
