Dumbell to Barbell Ratios

This is probably a stupid question... but I'd be interested to read anything if you guys have any links lying around...

Is there any sort of ratio between dumbell bench press and barbell bench press.
Like if you can lift x amount of lbs with dumbells you should be able to lift x(y) with a barbell since dumbells require more stabaliztion, or is it just different for every person.
Personally I have a hard time doing barbell bench any more because it just makes my rotator cuffs ache, however I can still lift a significant amount with dumbells.... I'm kind of curious to figure out a rough estimate of what my max would be on barbell bench... you know... without actually doing it.

Thanks!

I don't think that there is a good way to judge that. I do feel that if you increase your flat bench then you have probably increased your flat dbell bench. I don't think that it can work the other way around...

Rethink your form on the flat bench...

Oh well.. thats too bad...
I guess I'm going to have to start benching powerlifter style to save my cuffs...
Thanks guys
