Do Squats help you to burn body fat like they do for me?

It seems as though whenever I add leg work to my diet/cardio cutting program...my body gets lean much faster. Does anyone else experience this? Is there an explanation (increased metabolism)?

Squats provide many benefits.

- they are anabolic
- they build muscle
- they strengthen tendons and ligaments

To answer your question. . .yes, they increase the metabolism. They also help me burn bodyfat.
 
Definitely in the long run. They're good for adding muscle to your core, more muscle burns more chub... you know the drill.
 
Your legs are huge muscle groups... if you really rape them, I'd assume they would take a lot more calories to recover then the average muscle... hence burning more calories... and in the long run an expedited fat loss.
 
Exactly....muscle burns cals and increases metabolism. The bigger the muscle group, the greater this effect. Makes perfect sense.
