deadlift tips and olympic lifts

i invested in some nice olympic style equipment at home. i have a bar and rubber weights and i got me some nice mats to throw on the ground. now my question is what is a good routine for a newbie to deadlifting where i won't break my back? also should i do them on back day or leg day?
 
Start really light and get your form down. Dead lifts will quickly become an exercise you can lift pretty heavy so it is key to have the form down first. You want to avoid injury as a priority.
