DB Bench lesser weight vs Barbell Bench

I have been doing Barbell bench twice a week and recently switched to 1 day Barbell Bench and 1 day DB Bench but couldn't the same weight as like Barbell on DB.

Is that ok for gaining muscles since i heard pushing more the weight the better?
 
It is the same weight if it's the same % of what your max is. The numbers and names and labels itself don't really matter.

The heaviest dumbell you can do for 3 reps is just as taxing as the heaviest barbell bench for 3 reps you can do (although in different and beneficial waysways, as mekannik pointed out)

Keep mixing them up and stop worrying.
