I'm not sure that's a black and white question, as you will get out of either of those what you put into then, but also, diet is a massive component of these goals as well.

I'd stick with traditional bodybuilding, but with a full body, HIT routine. Not HIIT, as in high intensity interval training. But HIT, High Intensity Training along the lines of Dorian Yates. You will definitely work very, very hard if you want to. Plus this training style is adaptable to losing weight and gaining.

Crossfit offers many potential for needless injuries performing complex exercises at unsafe speeds. But you do get to do kipping pull ups and look like a flapping fish. Plus you get to join a cult of high calf socks and other expensive gym neon colored wear that adds at least 5lbs to your lift each week so you can prematurely injure your rotator cuffs doing olympic lifts you don't really know how to do, but you're doing crossfit so you automatically know how to do these things.

There's two different questions being asked. You'd burn more fat on crossfit. But that's fuck all to do with vascularity.

go to a crossfit gym and go to a weight lifting gym. you will see all sorts of shapes and sizes. some guys are huge and ripped, others are sticks, and others are obese.

yes you need to train to build muscle and boost endurance

but to get to a certain level you also need much more.. genetics, stress, your mind, sleep quality, DIET, homeostasis, past history etc. all play a role

and whether you do either one of these things you need to start out SMART. one of the big problems with crossfit is guys want to impress others in the class so they over do it and get hurt

It matters more on what you are doing with your diet than anything. If you want to gain muscle then bodybuilding type training is going to be superior to crossfit. Crossfit probably has the edge for endurance and burning more calories, but the fat loss comes from diet regardless of how you train
