calorie burning calculation

Hi , I have a question about my diet, as I understand the only way to lose weight is to be in a calorie deficit, my question is how to calculate the calories your burn after training? does it depend on the type of exercise ?

the short answer is you don't know an exactly number but generally 1 hour of really hard exercise will burn 500 calories for a male and 300 calories for a women. of course it depends on the person's weight and other factors too.. and the way most people workout frankly they are lucky to get half that. i see a lot of playing with the phone and jerking around in the gym

those calorie counter things on cardio machines at the gym are a guestimate but aren't to be relied on to be accurate
