Broken/Bad Shoulder Joints

Hello everyone !!! I have this problem from almost two years . As it appears the last summer i was playing beach volley everyday and in the middle of the seasn already my right shoulder was killing , then the left one also . After the summer after I went again to gym after the second day I barely could go third time cause of the pain in the shoulders .The doctor said that sth. like : The joints between the arm and the shoulder are broken and it should be operated and put titanium and bla bla bla . Look , I was 24 and only the sound of this makes me go crazy . Then i saw another specialist ( rehabilitator ) and according to him breaking the joint or part of them was only a matter of time cause (again his opinion ) i am born with weaker joints . I am about to do a magnet resonance in a few months and see axactly what is the condition of the joints cause again the summer was tooo busy and I was a bit of lazy to make change my registration again and all the paer work for to get a date for the magnetic resonance .So last winter i just rest . The summer also i just did moslty cardio disciplines .So now i start again visiting the gym and for now everything seems ok .Just when i train realated shoulders exercises i can feel pain in the bone . Also when i have direct pressure on the shoulder its difficult like bench press and pulling my self up and down , that kind of stuff . I would like and advice about training in general : what to avoid and what would beneffit making stronger the shoulder muscles . When i try to put much weight on the shoulders or even overtrain it a bit the pain is comming back so i think mostly the option is mostly without much weight and mostly repetitions . Don´t now. Sorry for the long post !!!

I also have had shoulder problems over the years from benching heavy. I can only tell you what seems to help me. I stay away from barbells now. I use heavy dumbells, and hold them at roughly a 45 degree angle, twist of the wrist, when performing benches. This takes a trememdous amount of pressure off of the shoulder joints. I would caution you that no matter what you hear from others, do not take it as gospel for your body. Only YOU know, or will grow to know, what works for you and what doesn't. I have found that there is a big difference between pain from being sore, great happy hurt in my opinion, and the pain created from your routine that may not be quite designed for you and your ailments. Good luck and be consistent.

Yes,in general I am trying to take care with the heavy stuff and when I feel moving my bone inside and starting to hurt I just don't push it no more.

If your shoulders hurt then my advice is to rehab it. Do rotator cuff exercises to strengthen them and use really light weight for pressing. I would also use a lacrosse or tennis ball to work painful areas. I would also do some reverse band benching and shoulder pressing to flush the area with blood. Use very light weight and high reps with these. Avoid squatting as the bar across your shoulders will cause pain so do leg pressing instead.

Thank you for the support.Till I get my medical tests i will base the program mostly on taking care of the shoulders with a day more rest between training days .

First off stay away from the major shoulder offenders. Barbell bench, no. Military press or anything like that no no no. Replace barbells with dumbbells for any chest or shoulder exercise. As someone said you need a rehab program for your shoulders basically strength up everything and you might be alright. I that's what I've done and haven't had a shoulder problem in years. I found that static holds help strength your shoulders without causing problems which was part of what I did.

BTW I think problems were a result of being a baseball pitcher for years, my throwing arm is literally an inch long than my catching arm and throwing all the time is most likely what cause my problems. If you have cut back on what ever sport might be causing you a problem. It's simple if you do X and the next your shoulders feel bad then X most likely has to be dealt with.
