bicycling vs. training legs?

I have a friend who swears he never weight trains and his legs are huge, his quads, hammies, and calves look like bowling balls. I call him "the champ" cause he always wins local races, he says the secret is uphill bicycling. here i am weight training and training my legs like crazy and my legs look like chickens. should i try that too?

I love mountain biking bro and that is the best way to train legs. The gears on the bicycle give you the ability to put the load on your leg muscles or on your heart. Just make sure to gear in for some leg-busting resistance and you'll develop some serious wheels quickly.

It would definitely be something worth trying. Not only for the leg muscle gains but for mental health too. Being outside and riding a bike around should be great for stress relief.
