Best core strengthener ?

[FONT=&quot]I was told I need to strengthen my abs to help with my posture and overall health. What would be a good program to develop the core? I would like to start an olympic lift program in about 8 weeks so getting the core strength will be important.[/FONT]
 
I like squat and deadlift variations for strengthening my core.
 
pyropilates at a good studio will work the shit out of your core while being low impact. i highly recommend that

but i do have issues with whoever told you to strengthen abs to help posture. as weightlifters we are already stronger than other people. so it isn't that we need to get X or Y muscle stronger, it is we need to work on mobility and flexibility. whoever told you that are hacks who learned that in school or are used to working with old people who are too weak to even carry their grocery bags to their car lol
