i started lfiting regualry on january first, i started westside barbell like a week ago. i was wondering would it be ok for me to start bands or should i wait.

I would start out with chains first. The bands cause a great amount of instability, and if you are still trying to learn form I would steer clear of them.

Once you get your form down bands will take it to the next level.

I had been lifting for a while before I incorporated the bands into my workout. I would say go for it though. It will be a totally different feel than you will be use to so don't get crazy and double them or anything. Go easy with them till you get the feel of them. They work, no doubt about it.

I would finish the 9 week starting program before heading to AR. That way you can create your groove and learn correct form. Not to mention bands are much more taxing on the joints than chains. I am with hannibal on this one...wait a lil while and then start with chains
