Arnold Presses instead of Overhead Press?

They are a great exercise, although heavily skewed toward working the front delt, but a good overall mass builder nonetheless.

Yeah whenever the weight isnt directly over the joint it can be risky.
I do Arnold presses after heavier shoulder lifts. Make sure you get the squeeze at the top when you rotate.

to me arnold presses hit the front delts more so than regular db presses. as such i shy away from them because my front delts are, if anything, larger/stronger than the rest of my shoulders.

i used to do front raises, too, but i haven't done those in a million years now. it seems they get enough work from shoulder presses and benching (flat and incline).
