Aching muscles - Need answers please

At first when I hit the gym, after my workouts my muscles didn't ache, and I realized I wasn't doing enough exercises. I was scared of injuries or overtraining.

But now I'm amazed at how much my body can take! So I do a more rigourous workout and make sure the muscles are sore the next day.

I believe that means they are rebuilding and becoming stronger, right?

OK, now my next question: Should I work a muscle or muscle group that still aches, or should I make sure it's 'healed' before exercising it again?

Wait until the pain is gone (completely).
This is the time when your muscle is actually growing back stronger and bigger from the trauma you have caused it in the gym.
 
For the most part, people cry "overtraining" when they're lazy or as a means to feeling better about themselves cuz they only did three sets of squats and none of them to failure. HOWEVER...never train a sore muscle. Just my .02 cents.
