I am basically new to weight training and my company now allows free access to the gym which comes with my insurance package. i used to play some sports when i was younger and lifted a couple times but now at 35 i am a newbie. what workout program would work for me that will be easy to do?

as a newbie i would stick to the top 5-10 compound lifts. don't even do curls with dumbbells or any of that shit. stick to the big lifts but learn how to do them PROPERLY. to me it is like learning to drive a car, learn the basics for your first couple years.

Strong Lifts 5x5 is a fantastic program for a newbie. The gains are insane.

A 5x5 is a great beginner program. It is critical to master the compound movements. Get your form correct before moving up in weight.
