Excerpt: Hang cleans are something that a lot of guys don't really do. I have been doing powerlifting for a long time and got away from it and now want to come back. I am going to get back on a 5X5 program which on leg days are deads, bench and squats of course. i don't have much energy for hang cleans are they something i should swap in or no?

Re: 5X5 program and incorporating cleans
hang cleans put a lot of pressure on your wrists, elbows and spine. i personally wince when i see guys doing them. but the trick is never go heavy, stay light and focus more on proper form. poor form= injuries

I only did them in high-school for football because we had to do it, I don't do them at all, never liked that movement
