Excerpt: I want to get my bench press improved, now is the time because the gyms are empty and my body is fresh. my strategy is 3 bench workouts per week over the next few months and then back off. right now I am at 250 pounds for 3X5 and I want to gradually increase that up and get over 300. any tips ?

    3X5 for bench?

    I want to get my bench press improved, now is the time because the gyms are empty and my body is fresh. my strategy is 3 bench workouts per week over the next few months and then back off. right now I am at 250 pounds for 3X5 and I want to gradually increase that up and get over 300. any tips ?

    build consistency at a lower weight. do deloads along the way. never do 1-2 rep maxes. always stay in the 3-5 rep range

    Gradual increases, lots of rest, and the food to support the training.
