Why do women even want to get married????

most likely I'll never get married...

so TC2..here's one female who does not want to get married.

and...men blow up just as much as women do...Ive seen it many times with my own eyes.

This is just not true, I have seen it way too many times, women 90% of the time put on a lot of weight in a short amount of time after they get married.

And if/when they get a divorce, they lose weight usually very quickly b/c they know that they have to care about what they look like again until the next sucker marries them.

I used to be a butcher, so I have met and gotten to know probably a thousand people (customers) and I've seen it a million times.

Yes men do put on weight too, BUT it is usually b/c their metabloism slows down.(which they should take care of themselves for their partner)

Women usually keep themselves at a certain weight until they get married, then let themselves go.

I think velett is right - both men and women change sugnificantly when they feel secure about their relationship (after marriage).
Man just "deteriorate" slower...
My ex (not wife my close to it) lost 22 lb to get me, but when she got, she started gaining 2-3 lb/month, and damn it was not "pure muscle"

I know that not all women are like this(although most are). I was thinking about all of my friends and co workers who are married.

Almost every guy I know wishes they never got married, and are miserible(sp?). They say (and I've seen it also) that their wives change for the worse. And I'm not talking about just the people who got married young either.

The major complaints I get and have seen once a women gets married are:

1. diminshed sex drive or no sex drive at all (sex is almost a chore to women now). This is goddamn bullshit!!!

2. rapid weight gain (they have a man now,so no need to keep up their looks) This is goddamn bullshit!!!

3. removal of the testes, ie a man can't seem do anything without the wifes approval. this is fuckin lame!!

4. constant bitching, ie the man can't seem to please her no matter what he does.

So I ask the women, WHY THE FUCK DO YOU EVEN WANT TO GET MARRIED?????

1. Ummmmmmm I have ALWAYS had the drive of a 17 year old boy on test.

2. I am in ONE THOUSAND shape better AFTER my kids then before.

3. I couldn't push him to go out the door to socialize!

4. Nothing I did was EVER appreciated or good enough whereas THE DAY did not go by where I did not tell him how much I loved him and how much I appreciated how hard he worked for me and the kids.

So your question is valid and the answer?

I HAVE NO FUCKING CLUE WHATEVER PROMPTED ME TO EVER WANT TO MARRY!

I will tell you one thing though, I don't have the same delusions at I had in my early twenties and have ZERO DESIRE to ever go back to hell again.

I now come and go as I please and doubt that I will EVER give that up again for anyone. He would have to be next to GOD for me to even remotely consider it.

I cut my own grass.
I fix my own toilet.
I take out my own trash.
I pay my own bills.
As long as I have batteries.... IT IS ALL GOOD.

It can happen for the right reason (whatever that is) but usually doesn't. Im sure there are 1000's of reasons people get married, with only one of them being wanting to spend the rest of thier lives together.. the older I get, the more I realize a lot of people are pretty fucked up.

If you don't want children, don't get married, instead live together.

I have been married, I really don't want to get married again. I would, however, like to have a serious relationship with a man.
