Who wakes up during the night to eat??

Just wanted to know who actually wakes up from their sleep to eat food or a protein shake...... Isn't it BEST to get quality (uniterupted) sleep for at least 8hrs?? If so then one should not be woken up ... escpacially to eat ??

Now, i know this will keep you from going catabolic, but since you're sleeping and your body is working less, will it really matter??

Personally, I am trying to gain some weight 1-2 pounds per month(slowly) and want to make the MOST gains in the gym that I can..... Maybe this "nightly eating" will help me pack on some massss........... im 150....5'9"

So to those of you who actually eat at night, do you feel a difference and/or make better gains??? ..... and if so, what would be a good choice (protein/fat/shake?), without disrupting further sleep???

I don't do it on purpose, but almost every night I wake up and eat a yogurt and a scoop of protein mixed in. It does make a difference.

i just keep a shake next to me when i sleep. I usually wake up thirsty so instead of drinking water i reach for my shake. I have also gained about 12 lbs in 3 weeks from just eating and working out heavy.
 
I'm like MightyP - I don't set my alarm or "plan" on getting up - but every night I wake up at some point and throw back a quick shake (a casein, whey, egg album mix with a tablespoon of flax oil)....

Whether or not it's been helping me make gains I couldn't say for sure - but it sure as heck hasn't been slowing my gains....and it's not making me fat either....

It also doesn't disrupt my sleep for the rest of the night - but then again - I'm a heavy sleeper to begin with.....

Give it a try and see how it goes...
 
i don't wake up on purpose to eat,but when i get up in the middl of the night i have hd a shake or protein bar...........
