based on anotherr post i wanted to get more opinions where if you have a little carbs in the morning should you mix the fats with them or should you have the fats later when carbs are cut out.

The best advice I ever heard (thx Ulter :)) - find out what works for you. I personally have them together for breakfast but after that stick to carbs till my afternoon workout (and no fat), then have a higher-fat meal at night with no carbs (steak, chicken w/ skin etc.) cuz I don't stomach carbs at night well.

Fat in any meal will slow digestion and prolong the realease of nutrients into the blood stream. This translates into a lowering of glycemic index for carbs when ingested with fat. This will blunt an insulin spike and cause a more stable and smaller release of insulin.

I think #1 priority is lowering G.I. of meal. I personally think
the biggest mistake people make is popping high GI carbs
throughout the day. Where I work everyone has jars of
cookies and candy on their desk for public consumption.
Reg sodas throughout the day are bad too.

Eat carbs and no fat after a workout-- otherwise mixing them helps you feel fuller.
