what ratio do u think i should use for cutting diet out of these........

110%

ok, i weight 170 lbs, so i figured i need around 2050 calories a day, i figured that by multiplying my weight by 15 (maintenance) and subtracting 500, for my cutting diet do u think i should use:

either a 50/30/20 ratio of protein/carbs/fat, all carbs complex except around 75 gram dextrose after workouts and whne not working out skip dextrose, fats mostly from flax

or

bodyweight times 2 for protein, times .5 for carbs, and .25 for fats, but change the values to around 300 protein, 125 carbs, and 40 fat

what do u think?

Which macronutrient ratio is best?....hahaha...This is the million dollar question...unfortunately, everyone is different.

A lot of people have reported good results with the 50/30/20, as well as the isocaloric, etc...........Total calorie consumption is the overall determining factor!

Another thing you could try that seems to be getting good reports is a hypocaloric diet that incorporates a cycle pattern of high carbs, isocaloric calories, high protein. check out the women's board for posts by W6. He is a big fan of this style of eating/dieting.

Par deus has mentioned an isocaloric cyclic dieting regimine that Lyle McDonald has been getting positive results following. food for thought.

Expect to get about 50 different answers from various members even though you only asked for our opinion with two.

As a male, I like to keep the fat intake a little higher on a low calorie diet. I'm thinking about the Cyclic Isocaloric dieting scheme myself for this upcoming year.
