What do you hate most about your gym?

I train at the local ymca and the music they play is top-20 pop music shit.
How the fuck can you get psyched before squatting if moby or J-Lo is on?

Music really does make a difference! Give me a good heavy metal or dance music tune to get me really psyched up and my reps will go way more smoothly. Just listening to "Jump in the fire" by metallica makes me want to scream and squat to exhaustion.

Can't wait for my membership to expire this october.
 
I wish there was electricity and running water.

my gym always runs out of filttered water. :(
 
I have to walk between rooms maybe 2 minutes, to get to anything below 27.5kg dumbells. The barbells jump from 22.5kg to 35kg, and there are not enough freeweights or bars for the benches and the squat rack.

And im going to go a squat now lol
 
They change the old (good) dumbells for new ones who look good but are so cheap that aftera few weeks they start to break down

One day a guy a DB will fall on a guy head while he's doing pullover :worried:
 
well besides the fact they changed all the seat/bench covers to purple and painted the walls yellow and purple...i have no compliants
 
i waer hedphones
no worries about music
but its a health club, so i get to deal with those morons
and the dbs only go to 125#
 
We have a few high school idiots who will all come in to lift together, like 12 or 13 of them at a time. So what they will do is they will all take up the benches and do 8 to 10 sets each, with 105 to 135 tops! Or they will take up the squating cage and do curls with the bar and 2.5 or 5 pounds on each side. The damn fitness instructors will take up for them if a member calls them out on their stupidity!
 
Not allowed to use chalk
Crappy stereo system (I don't mind the music they play, it just comes out awful)
Dumbells stop at 120's
