unhealthy to go low or rotate carbs for months?

hey i always go 3 days low carbs and 1 day moderate ..but i started walkin for 60 min forst thinngin the morning on an empty stomach..i was wondering if switching walking then sprinting another day is ok to lose fat..i have been doing this for months along with a good diet,,i started to cut my post workout carbs because i am cutting and eat a high protein meal or drink,,i used to have dextrose but i figure not to have it mabye a good carb source or something instead...my ? is can u go so far for 2 months and still kinda look the same without losing muscle? i plan on going for 5 montths of working hard and low carbinng with an occational carb up..is this ok to cut fat or just loose muscle//thanks
 
this is definitely ok to do to cut fat....

just don't walk or sprint or do more than 45 mins of cardio at any one
time while on low carb... just do short sessions of cardio
 
It's fine for losing fat. Just make sure you have occasional carb up days. In fact I use low carb diet when cutting. Eat oatmeal for pre work out meal and that's it. Just to make sure to keep your healthy fats kind of high to make sure you have plenty of energy though.

Hey Assman, hahaha sorry.

why only short cardio sessions on low carb....is it because of glycogen depletion?

yes... on an EXTREME low carb diet... one will lose fat without any
exercise at all in most cases.

Extended cardio can cause you to burn muscle when following a
low carb diet...
 
i'm using crums orginal diet right now.

I'm doing cardio six times a week, ranging from 30-60 minutes. DO you think i should back off a little?

This is only my personal opinion but yes i would cut it back to
probably on 3 or 4 times a week... just 30 or 45 minutes max!
 
thanks cosmo but low carbs means just oatmeal in the morning then the rest of day have veggies? and also ehy is it bad to do cardio on low carbs ? can that be the reverse effect of fat burning and halt it? i walk for 50 min ..should i just sprint for 20? beacuse since sprinting burns carbs and not fat i will have no carbs in my system to burn but i heard it burns fat afterwords..what shall i doO
 
missy.... i think the best thing would be alternating between sprinting and walking... don't always do the same thing, its best to mix it up a bit.

since you are eating low carbs... too much cardio will force your body
to use some of your muscle as fuel... I don't think that you want to burn
muscle do you
