To shave my chest or not....that is the question

I can't decide whether I should shave my chest or not. I'm a 22 year old college student. My upper body isn't in great shape but it's above average. The hair on my chest is over an inch long in between pecs with my "trail" down my stomach very noticable. Do the ladies perfer the smooth chest? All the girls I've been with never said anything and would even run their fingers through it. So what's the word?

As long as it isnt all over your chest, and just a little down the center then I wouldnt mind.
I dont like when you can't see the skin its so thick and covers thier whole chest.

Women I've seem to really like the hair on my chest. I have enough but far from too much. A lot a women (in my experiece) seem to find hair on a chest masculine and sexy. My ex-girlfriend actually bitched when I shaved my chest the last time. And some like to smooth. You just them all all the time.
