If it were me, and I had a large amount of American Indian in me, I wouldn't take it to begin with because the odds of insulin are way against that person. Insulin IS the main reason for the increase in the size of the bb'ers today, it's just that now some are paying a real high price for it, many of them are, there are just safer ways of doing it. Okay, now, I am really done with this ;) :) :)

Definately. My family has no history whatsoever of diabetes and I, of course, am planning on starting at 5iu and working my way up to no more than 10 perhaps.
 
I agree with using only certain days of the week..but I think those days should be the days you lift. Work your way up to 10 IUs post workout (when glucose uptake is most important) and don't inject on days off. I don't go for more than a month on slin just to be safe.

Also injecting three times a day (especially on lift days) doesn't seem like a good idea to me. Especially with R. You would have to worry about going hypo all day. I know for a fact that insulin before workout is bad as it will inhibit the natural GH spike during this time.

Thats how I do it anyway. It works well for me.
 
i dont think insulin should be used 5 days in a row, thats very risky in terms of dependence.

I would use it say, 2-3 times a week, 2 weeks straight MAX..

BG - Perhaps the Bros you know are utilizing SLIN in this method. But i personally know and train (Occasionally) with several competitors who will be in Vegas this w/e, and the SLIN cycle differs dramatically that what you have described. Im not saying the method you mentioned doesnt work, but what i have seen is totaly different, and shall i say much more extreme.....And not one of these fella's is SLIN dependent..
 
Dumbell150, would you please mind pm me to tell me what you have seen as far as insulin dosages and timing goes from these pros. I would really appreciate it. Ill be glad to send some karma your way for this!
 
Kids, geez, you all piss me off at your stupidity. You want to take Insulin like a pro does? Then fine, take 80iu's before 1:00 because you are taking 18ius of growth hormone a day, and your insulin resistance is so high that the 80iu's is barely doing shit to your body since your sugar stays at a baseline of around 425. These pro's are having major problems, you don't hear about how most can't see to freaking drive, they have to take shots of insulin to be able to do that. You think they wanna tell you that, you think anyone but there very significant other and there doctor know this? You think they want to be known as people that can't literally live through a day without having to take insulin. I am telling you what they wish they would have done, not what they do right now, Most go through a bottle of day of insulin, is that what you want to do? that would kill you, be careful of the information that you receive, most of these people are teenagers or are in there 20's and know everything and post about everything and call a person a bitch because they do not believe something. It cracks me up on one side, because in 10 years they are gonna look back and say "damn, I was really a dumbass", but on the other side, it is just really scary, because this isn't teenagers or 20's years old smoking pot and finding new ways of doing it, they are messing with there freaking blood glucose levels, it is insane. I just hope you all heed the warning, that this is not something to play with, do it right, grow big, do it wrong, grow big, and then have to stay on the shit forever. It's not hard to open your mind to reasoning, please, just do it.
 
I just read on chad nichols board how he recomends using insulin 2 or at the very most 3 days a week. he says anymore is uneccessary and 3 is for those with a very fast metabolism. I have been taking humalog by itself for about a month now, gained 11 pounds so far. But after 3 weeks i was up to 18-20 iu's mid workout and was only taking 4-5 grams of carbs per iu. i was still never feeling any signs of hypo. When i first started 4 iu's and 80 grams of carbs gave me very slight signs. He sais people who take it ed or more are takin huge dosages and feeling nothing. So for now on ill be taking it twice a week as i think anymore is an uneccessary risk, especially with diabetes in my family. I hope some of you listen to brickgirl about this one. Although i doubt most will become insulin dependant from using a little slin post workout especialy humalog since its not active long enough to keep your own insulin secretion down for long. BTW chad also recomends using other sources for carbs post shot, specificaly fruit as dextrose is absorbed too fast.

60iu and not dependent, how do you like them apples?
