I have been watching this four disc pack for the last week, as it's the funniest shit, even moreso than The Simpsons. I can't wait until the next set comes out in September. I never really watched it when it was on tv, but it's hilarious!

Family guy is a great show that just didnt get the mainstream following to stay on air..
It had been cancelled a couple times before being done for good.
You can download all of the episodes on kazaa or any other method of d/ling.. The dvdrips should be out there already

They kept going on hiatus and they kept moving the time slots so no one knew when it was on. But really, the writer was getting bored, running out of ideas and just decided to die off with class, pretty much what Seinfeld did.

i've watched tons of simpsons episodes...sometimes I chuckly a little. But i usually smile at the jokes because they don't merrit a laugh

yup. THen they moved the reruns to cartoon network and now its the highest rated show cartoon network has. Cartoon network is trying to get the creator to start remaking new episodes but he is busy with another project right now. AFter he finishes that, new family guys might come back on.

Simpsons is crashing and burning, and I don't understand how futurama is still on...I haven't broken a smile from those two shows...maybe early early Simpsons. Family guy is the shit.

I can't even watch the Simpsons after watching Family Guy. It just pales in comparison. FG was one of the most creative shows I've ever seen. I laugh out loud every episode. I'm anxiously waiting for the third season DVD set.
It was cancelled because Fox fucked up and kept giving it shitty time slots. It was also preempted by football games when it was actually in a decent time slot. It was put on hiatus after the 2nd season and many of the original writers left, but they got their contract renewed for a third season at the last minute. They brought in a bunch of new writers and that actually turned out to be the best season IMO.
Seth McFarlane is working on another animated show, so I can't wait to see how that turns out. I rarely ever watch TV, but if there was anything I ever did watch it was Family Guy.

You should really check out Family Guy. Futurama had a hell of potential, but according to Matt Groening, Fox wouldn't let him do a lot of things he wanted to do with it. For one they made him tone down Bender because he seemed to mean. I honestly don't even like the Simpsons anymore, they were just not funny for a while and I stopped caring. It's a shame because there were some hilarious episodes in the past few seasons, like the medical marijuana episode. Then they just ran out of steam.
