B Blackalpha New member Dec 17, 2001 #2 The most known way to achieve maximum insulin release is to have ~75grams of dextrose/maltodextrin but... ..if you don't want all that sugar in your body you just have to take 2-4 grams of L-Arginine with your protein shake.It works really well.
