keep your heart rate at 70to 75% of your max
Use a pace that you can do at least 40 min but it would be better to do a 60 min 5 times a week..Good Luck
also do a search warlobo has a great thread on cardo
I like longer sessions at moderate pace, but you should mix it up doing a few sessions of high intensity cardio at 15-20 mins. This speeds up your metabolism quite a bit.
My only concerns are that by doing to intense cardio, I would lose some muscle. I know that low intense cardio burns less calories but also spares muscle. I get easily confused when talking about this.
What I like to do is 3 days a week after my workout do 30 minutes of cardio at a moderate pace, and on my two days off I do intense 45 minute sessions. I feel that this method has helped me to burn a good amount of bodyfat while at the same time spare muscle mass. The results I have obtained with this program are great.
No. Long duration cardio is the worst on muscle wasting.
You need to do short intense sessions lasting no more than half an hour early in the morning on an empty stomach. You will hear many opinions but right now it is proven that interval training is the best gadget against fat.
