seroiusly if your too busy could you get cut off this.?

would you guys recommend a cheat day here or there for OMEGA? His metabolism is going to slow down if he goes for a long period of time under his maintenence level.
 
when cutting should you still have a cheat day every week? and should it be a whole day or one meal? i know theres no yes or no answer...but in everyones experience..whats the best thing to do?
 
I sure as hell hope its a whole day. I just screwed myself over today and ate nothing but pizza hut. Now I'm trying to make up for it. Eating chicken breast and having a protein shake.
 
I'm pretty sure it's a whole day. While opinons vary as to the frequency, I guess everyone is different.

Do a search on "cheat day" or "overfeeding day" or.... you get the point. There is a lot of info, but some people have different ideas.

yea a cheat day is needed, very good point.

not a cheat meal, but a cheat day.

I noticed that during the week I follow a diet in general to the T.

and on the weekend I eat with my family on Sunday, all day and basically eat anything I want.

I stead of feeling bloated, or screwed up the next day, I feel refreshed, and ready to start another week o' dieting.

Gymtime's rules o' cheat day (from an old thread):

There's some arguement on the benefits/problems with a cheat day. I think about it as a "carb-up" time. I get to eat bread and sweets which I deny myself during the week. Others will tell you that a cheat day more often than once a month will hinder your cutting goal. So like anything, it depends on what works best for you.

Here are some things I try to keep in mind about cheat day:

1) Only do it if you deserve it. If you haven't eaten COMPLETELY CLEAN for the prior week, don't do it. Wait until you have six totally clean diet days behind you.

2) Cheat day is not "gorge yourself" day. Do not stuff yourself with crap at every meal. Keep it reasonable.

3) I think cheat days are important mentally. I love food. If I had to be on a cutting diet constantly, I'd never stick with it. Cheat day gives you something to look forward to. And I guarantee you, you will NEVER appreciate good food more than after a week of chicken, tuna, rice, and protein powder.

4) The day after a cheat day requires 10 times more discipline for me than any trip to the gym. You've had incredible food the day before, now it's time to get back to the grind, kinda like monday morning. Last tip, DO NOT extend cheat day into the next day, no matter how much you want to.
